Hi, I'm Joe. I make Max & The 305 Cats.
I'm a husband and a father of two, a surveyor down in South Florida, and none of this was the plan. The plan was a cat. Seventeen years ago an animal named Max came into my life, and he turned out to be the best one I've ever known. He was loved in this house every single day he was here, and he gave that love right back, to me and to my family, for seventeen years.
When we lost him, I wanted to build him something that would last. This show is that. It's his memorial, and it's my way of keeping him around, one episode at a time. Every day I get to work on it is a day I get to see him again for a little while, and I can't tell you what that means. It has been good for me. It has been healing.
The other two, Arthur and Maurice, are very much alive and very much themselves. They're a huge part of the show, and you'll be seeing more of them, including the real ones, because I can't stop taking their picture. They have a lot of years of affection left to give to my family, and I hope some of it lands on yours.
